Curriculum Materials

Below we ask about the number of students and teachers using each series of STARI materials. Please refer to the FAQs linked here for more information. We will use these numbers to generate suggested quantities You will have the opportunity to edit individual quantities before finalizing your quote.

Series 1 Curriculum Materials (~Grade 6)

We recommend Series 1 for 6th graders using STARI or combination classes with 6/7th graders. This would include curriculum materials (workbooks, fluency passages) as well as literature for Unit 1.1, Unit 1.2, and Unit 1.3.

STARI Literature

Quantities of STARI Literature will be generated based on the numbers you provided for curriculum materials. However, if STARI sections using the same series are able to share literature copies, money can be saved by purchasing class sets of novels, rather than one per student. For example, if one teacher teaches three sections of 14 students each, you will need to order 42 student workbooks (plus a few extras) but you may only need 14 copies of each novel (plus a few extras) if novels can be shared across sections.

Professional Learning

An online professional learning series is available to prepare educators to engage struggling readers with STARI. We offer teacher, coach, facilitator, and coach-facilitator combination licenses. Printed Participant Binders (optional)

Each session of the professional learning series utilizes handouts for participants (notecatchers, excerpted curriculum materials, readings). Handouts may be accessed electronically by teachers directly (if teacher licenses are purchased), downloaded and printed in-house, or printed copies are available for purchase. Printed participant binders include all handouts needed for all 17 sessions (217 pages, printed in greyscale, divided by session tabs) at a cost of $45/binder.
